  1. Must watch video.

At the Impeach Trump March in Chicago 7/2/17. A group of protesters applaud a speech comprised almost entirely of Adolf Hitler quotes given by Shad Daley. This was 20 seconds after saying they need to fight fascism. After the speech, the organizing member of refusefascism.org was desperate to get Shad more involved. Another wonderful example of how the left doesn’t understand their own hypocrisy and ignorance.

    This is great.

  2. On my FB page for low carb, a lady just posted that when she put up a post about her weight loss progress, a friend told her that she couldn’t put that on her page, because it might offend people who have eating disorders.

Let’s just say that there are a lot conservative low carbers, along with the lc’ers who are excited about their progress, that are offended at the offended.

So far, the complaints are clean. But she’s getting a heckuva response.

  3. Morning, Hamsters. Quite a storm we had last night. Sound effects suggested I might see devastation and debris in all directions this morning, but I don’t even see any tree limbs down — so far. I have not gone outside and looked all around, yet.

  4. Me, I never tell people what they should or should not post. I assume all of my friends are adults!

  5. Morning all. I’ve completed my morning coffee with the old pharts men’s group at the local Stripes convenience store and am now prepared to face the day, secure in the knowledge that most other people don’t know what’s going on either. The good fairy did not drop by and paint my house while I was gone last week, so that job is still looming. I got one of those rotating nozzles for my high powered pressure washer and let me tell you, it will strip the old paint. I thought I’d already prepped the eaves pretty well, but hitting it with that thing made it look like it was snowing. I’m rapidly running out of excuses for not painting again, but I’ll most likely continue to procrastinate on this job for as long as I can. Have a great day you all.

  6. I’m rapidly running out of excuses for not painting again

It’s too damned hot to paint. Wait till the fall when it cools off a bit.

  7. Izzit possible that Houston has entered a monsoon phase? I was tempted to water the lawn yesterday after the neighbor kid cut it; I’m glad I held off.
I was sure to thank the kid’s father for letting me rent his son.

  8. on another blog they started comparing the beauty of past 1st ladies and this comment cracked me up:

Don’t forget Eleanor Roosrvelt. She could eat corn on the cob through a picket fence.

  9. #9, 11

Along the same lines, a while back my wife was on the neighborhood FB and mentioned we had been looking to remove all or most of the pine trees on our property. This tree lady went off saying she was going to the HOA, knew where we lived, etc, etc.

Good lesson for the wife who doesn’t get to involved in lefty politic watching.

  10. 4 Hammie

    Thanks a lot.

Now you have me headed down a rabbit trail of the Late Bronze Age collapse.

Probably never to be heard from again.

  11. #16 – I never heard of this Daniel Craig character, and I thought that James Bond passed a long time ago. Who knew that he was still alive. Wonder how large his prostate is now.

  12. One wonders if millenials will go see a film about a gin swilling skirt chaser.
I thought they were in to comic book heroes and other fabulosity.

  13. I keep seeing these guys hauling watermelons in old, gutted school buses with all the windows removed. Pretty cool idea, but you would think they’d run into problems with being overweight.

  14. Some of the old timers in south Alabama, used to fill those old buses with P-Nuts to take to the mill. A pretty good re-purposing of an old truck/bus. Since the buses came from Dale County, most of them had the old 292 Chevy I-6 with a granny 4-speed, tough old machines. The old 292 truck engine made it’s maximum torque @ 900 RPM!?

  15. Coming back from the cal lab this morning, I saw Wile E. Coyote running across the deer feeder patch and then across the road heading to the woods over on Space Center.

  16. #24 I don’t think any of the big three still make a straight six gasoline engine, do they? Ram/Dodge has that massive Cummins diesel in I-6 formation.

  17. Back in the ’70s I worked for an old man that rented large air compressors and had a dive shop on the side. He got into the diving business when he was the only one in town who would go pull divers’ bodies out of the thousands of underwater caves in north Florida before the state started blocking off all the entrances. Anyway, I remember we had a little tow motor with a Chrysler flathead six we used to move the compressors around with. We also had a 1 ton late-40s or early-50s Power Wagon with the same engine.

  18. I hauled my share of peanuts to the dryer in Waller from Austin County. After running the thrasher for hours.

  19. Julie And Nicole Pelosi Dragged Into Court In Handcuffs.

Nancy Pelosi’s two youngest daughters, Julie Marie and Nicole Lynn, were arrested and charged in Berkeley, California for drug trafficking. Their lawyer managed to keep the arrest quiet for the sake of an ongoing investigation and plea deal, but now that they were taken in full view of the public into federal court for arraignment, the cat is out of the bag.

The two women, 24 and 27-years-old, were caught at the border with more than 200 pounds of pure cocaine in their Winnebago. The girls tried to use their name to get through customs without being searched. It didn’t work. After agreeing to wear a wire for a lower charge, they were booked in officially for

After agreeing to wear a wire for a lower charge, they were booked in officially for trafficking under 50 pounds of a controlled substance rather than over 50 pounds or a class A narcotic. Basically, they’ll see the same punishment as someone caught with 49 pounds of pot, which in today’s day and age is next to nothing.

  20. which in today’s day and age is next to nothing.

Could be so in a Cali federal court.

But not in a Texas district court.

    Especially in Austin County.

I love that version…with the duet lead.

Today is the first time I saw it. What a treat.
    HB to me!

  22. #31 Shannon: I can’t wait to hear Vince Gill perform with the Eagles. He will breathe new life into that great group.

    BTW: Happy Birthday!

  23. I’m just glad Joe Walsh was blessed to have extraordinary musical talent because if that buzzardbutt ugly dude had to survive on his looks, he’d of died of starvation years ago.

  24. 45 Shannon

Statesboro Blues was always at the top of my barreling down the highway list. I wore out a lot of old Allman Brothers tapes back in my road warrior days.

  25. When I was 6, my mother took me and some friends to the Channel 13 station to see Kitirik for my birthday. I got to ride the carousel and even got a kiss on my cheek from Kitirik herself. I still remember that kiss. . . . . .

  26. First time in a couple of years I’ve headed out at 9pm to check on a problem well 25 miles away.

    Seems like old times.

    I don’t miss it.

But I can use the extra hours. 🙂

I bet I can find some good music to accompany me.

    Taaa-taa.

  27. 41

    Yup–good tune.

He never should’ve done that Sgt. Pepper’s movie.

It practically ruined his career as a musician for many years after.

Their lawyer managed to keep the arrest quiet for the sake of an ongoing investigation and plea deal, but now that they were taken in full view of the public into federal court for arraignment, the cat is out of the bag.

    Nope.

As it happens, Nancy Pelosi does have four daughters, but their names are Nancy, Christine, Jacqueline, and Alexandra. There have been no reports in the mainstream media that any of them were arrested for smuggling drugs or anything else. Nor, needless to say, was the minority leader herself taken into custody at her California home.
